Sequester and an $85 billion "Cut?"

Politicians are frightening the low information populace with talk of "draconian" cuts from the sequester (Play dramatic music here - duhn duhn duhhhnnnn). The cuts would amount to about $85 billion this year. Sound like a lot?

Well, if the federal government cut $85 billion (about a week's worth of federal spending) from this year's budget ($3.54 trillion), it would leave them with:
Three TRILLION Four Hundred Fifteen Billion.
We now have a monstrous federal government that cannot function with $3.415 trillion.

Are you a big enough sucker to fall for the panic? If the federal government cannot cut $85 billion from $3.5 trillion, this nation is doomed because of the ineptness of the citizenry.
