It's not that I think the gun restrictions are wise. It's that the more accurate basis for fighting these new neo-soc/fas efforts at gun control would be the Constitution of Colorado.
We are not all part of one national government. States have sovereignty. This is why states have their own constitutions. This is what the Colorado Constitution has to say about gun rights.
Section 13. Right to bear arms. The right of no person to keep and bear arms in defense of his home, person and property, or in aid of the civil power when thereto legally summoned, shall be called in question; but nothing herein contained shall be construed to justify the practice of carrying concealed weapons. So, the state of Colorado has a guarantee for the right to bear arms. So do the other fifty states. Who cares what the federal government has to say?
Hopefully, states will begin to assert their rights under the Constitution, a document designed to constrain the federal government, not to grant citizens' rights. If your state goes crazy, remove the politicians who pass the laws. If you cannot overcome them, then move to a state that values liberty.
Appeal to the US Constitution in order to constrain the power of federal bureaucrats, Congress and the POTUS.
