What was his message? Responsibility, character, decency. Dr. Carson dipped into public policy, with the president sitting right there (probably uncomfortably).
“Our deficit is a big problem,” said Dr. Carson. “Think about it — and our national debt — $16 and a half trillion dollars.”
He even gave a common-sense, anti-wealth-envy message about taxes: "What about our taxation system — so complex there is no one that can possibly comply with every jot and tittle. When I pick up my Bible, you know what I see? I see the fairest individual in the universe — God — and he’s given us a system. It’s called tithe.”
Not exactly a message that politicians want to hear, especially those who base their careers on division and envy.
Dr. Carson is a leader. He is brilliant. Someone with his character, intellect and views should have been the "first black president." How I wish he would run for president. It would be hard for the professional victims, hucksters and self-righteous, condescending leftists to shout him down.
