Invincible Ignorance - Thomas Sowell

Please read "Invincible Ignorance," the latest column from the Wise and Noble Professor Thomas Sowell. Dr. Sowell takes on intractable ignorance around the issue of gun control. I find this one point true on so many other issues:

"There is innocent ignorance and there is invincible, dogmatic and self-righteous ignorance."

The invincible, dogmatic and self-righteous ignorance also shows up around issues of taxation and government expenditure and intervention. See "Fair share," "the government must do something," etc.
