What About Future Generations? - Walter E. Williams

The Wise Walter E. Williams discusses "Future Generations" and how no one today cares about what will happen tomorrow. Dr. Williams lays out the debt crisis we face and how politicians ignore the problem and take advantage of the apathy and ignorance (my words) of the electorate. Here's a nugget:
"If Congress imposed a 100 percent tax, taking all earnings above $250,000 per year, it would bring in about $1.9 trillion. That would keep Washington running for 190 days, but there's a problem because there are 175 more days left in the year."
Ask your friends (esp. left-leaning) if the "fair share" nonsense makes any sense when looking at numbers like that. I know, you'll get blank stares. (braaaaaaaains.....fair share....braaaaains...tax the rich....braaaaaiiins....millionaires and billionaires...gimme my stuff...).  Okay, just having fun.

Still, the ship sinks.
