Gasp! I thought discrimination only happened in Mississippi. Of course I'm kidding. I have travelled to cities large and small I've encountered more awkward situations in large northern cities than I have in small towns in places like West Virginia(where people are usually quite polite). Only the naive (or stupid) buy into the notion than bigotry is a regional phenomenon.
I could be wrong, but racial discord seems to be worsening.
