Spinach - 4, no 5, ways to enjoy it.

Mark Bittman offers up "Spinach Is a Dish Best Served Cooked," and gives four ways you can cook up tasty dishes with spinach. I love spinach, but I could do without adding meat to it. If you're not a fan of the leafy green goodness, give these recipes a try.

Oh, and if you want to go for some truly daring, healthy treat. Try adding some spinach to a smoothie. It will give you protein along with all of those other nutrients. Here's one way I like it.

Fill your blender with the following:
  • 1/2 cup pineapple (frozen preferably)
  • 1/2 cup mango (frozen preferably)
  • cup of orange juice (add a bit more juice if things get a bit too stiff)
  • two handfuls of spinach
Blend away.

Drink and enjoy the goodness. Of course you could use any fruit combo. I like this with strawberries and blueberries, too.
