New Orleans elected Mitch Landrieu its first white mayor in 30 years. Landrieu doesn't have a very high standard to meet considering this town put up with two terms of Ray Neagin. How did people never hold Neagin accountable for his corruption, incompetence and complete lack of leadership during Katrina?
For the white people, toleratiing Neagin was little more than "the subtle bigotry of low expctations." For the black people, they just completely lost their way and showed no respect for the concept of judging someone by the content of his character.

With her speech at the Tea Party convention in Nashville, Sarah Palin not only proved that she's no dummy, she actually proved that she is smarter than President Obama.

Sarah Palin proved that she understands the frustration that many Americans feel at the massive shift left in our federal government. She also proved that she understands some of the core values of this nation (individual freedom, limited government and personal responsibility). President Obama doesn't seem to be able to grasp any of this. He might understand it intellectually but he has little appreciation for it. Or maybe he's just too arrogant to give a rip what we think. In that, he proves that he isn't so bright after all.

Brits log record number of bankruptcies
The current economic recession has caused a record number of bankruptcies in Great Britain, 134,142 in 2009. I doubt they're blaming George W. Bush like our sad excuse for a president seems to do at every turn.
