President Barack Obama's quest for collective salvation is frightening

I find these words from Barack Obama, our president, downright terrifying.

Mr. Obama has repeated these words over and over. Glenn Beck has compiled several occurrences of his saying this same thing. See video below.

What's the problem?

This notion of collective salvation should disturb everyone who has even the most basic appreciation for liberty and individual rights. If a man sees government as the means to achieving his salvation, how much will he respect my will, my desires, my rights? How far is he willing to go to coerce me and my neighbor to behave in a way that brings about his salvation?

President Obama espouses Christianity. Nothing in Christianity says that salvation is collective. Each man must "seek out his own salvation." Philippians 2:12.

If that doesn't work then consider these words from Revelation 22:17 "The Spirit and the bride say, "Come!" And let him who hears say, "Come!" Whoever is thirsty, let him come; and whoever wishes, let him take the free gift of the water of life"

Of course, we could use the fundamental Christian notion that we are saved by grace through faith, not works. Works through government coercion isn't even in the realm of consideration. Ephesians 2:8

There is no coercion here. There is no talk of dragging a society into salvation. There is no talk of government. None.

If someone proselytizes, I don't have a problem. Stand on the street corner and preach your concept of salvation until you lose your voice. I don't care.

However, if you decide to use the force and power of government to bring about the impossible, the salvation of an entire society or nation, you are dangerous.

This video below has some additional recordings of the president preaching collective salvation. It has some things about South Africa that I think distract from topic a bit, but it also has some revealing content.

This video has footage of  "Reverend" James Cone. Cone is tied closely with "Reverend" Jeremiah Wright, who shaped Barack Obama's theology. Mr. Cone must have missed these words from Jesus: "No one takes it from me, but I lay it down of my own accord. I have authority to lay it down and authority to take it up again. This command I received from my Father." John 10:18

I would hope people would pay attention to these things. It is important because it shows why the president is not much interested in anything that doesn't support his agenda, which in reality is a form of religious socialism. I'm not saying that to be provocative. It's just an interpretation of what this ideology really is.

This isn't about hating a man. It is about stopping an ideology. We need a change away from this madness.
