Chocolate City goes for the whipped topping

New Orleans elected Mitch Landrieu its first white mayor in 30 years. Landrieu doesn't have a very high standard to meet considering this town put up with two terms of Ray Neagin. How did people never hold Neagin accountable for his corruption, incompetence and complete lack of leadership during Katrina?

For the white people, toleratiing Neagin was little more than "the subtle bigotry of low expctations." For the black people, they just completely lost their way and showed no respect for the concept of judging someone by the content of his character.
