Thuggery on Display from the White House

In a truly disgusting display of pettiness bordering on extortion, Obama administration officials sent threatening letters to Arizona Governor Jan Brewer because Senator John Kyl (R-AZ) suggested more effective ways of using "stimulus" dollars. Read this nonsense:
"If you prefer to forfeit the money we are making available to your state, please let us know," Transportation Secretary Ray LaHood.
Letters from 4 cabinet secretaries were sent to Governopr Brewer, but of course the Washington Post only used the letter from Sec. LaHood. The Post had to make sure that we all knew that once held office as a "Republican." Don't blame Obama and don't mention the other Cabinet officials. Anything dirty has to be attributed a Republican, even if this is a Democrat administration. Amazing and pathetic bias.

Anyway, this story reinforces what I've said before, the stimulus plan has little to do with restoring America's economy. It's about politics and control.

Green Shoots of Leadership?

House Minority Leader John Boehner seems to be coming into his own, seizing the opportunity and providing at least some kind of leadership for the Republican agenda.

I've enjoyed some of his speeches and interviews. I even like his alternate website for sharing the GOP agenda. Everyone has to appreciate the outline of the Democrat health care reform plan. See below.

The real question is whether Boehner can mobilize his colleagues to create a cohesive, logical plan to the counter madness.
