"The stimulus package is working exactly as we had anticipated."

President Barack Obama is right when he suggests that his near $1 trillion stimulus plan is working just as he anticipated. The goal of this windfall government profit is not to spur the economy or increase employment.

If one were to be honest, the stimulus has the following REAL goals. This is merely scratching the surface.
  1. Create a government slush fund that can be doled out as a reward to political hacks. (Remember the Honduras model).
  2. Dangle a Carrot Before States. State politicians know that this is gravy time. Those who have played nicely with the Federal Dems, will get more money for pet projects.
  3. Trap Republican politicians. So-called red states are hurting, too, but politicians in those states know their constituents fundamentally disagree with burning through hundreds of billions of dollars on nonsense. In the end, Republicans are stuck because if things worsen, Obama can always blame George W. Bush or blame Republicans for being obstructionists and not offering any solutions of their own.
  4. Allow local and state governments to funnel money to political hacks (and shave off a few million "federal" dollars along the way).
  5. The main thing this stimulus is intended to do is score political points for Democrat incumbents. Remember that most of the so-called stimulus is being held until 2010. No doubt all of the Dems will be able to point to projects where they're dumping billions of dollars. They'll threaten the masses that Republicans want to end jobs and ruin the stimulus just as it's starting to work.
Quite a strategy. Are the people dumb enough to fall for it?

Hondurans Stand Up to the Obama/Chavez Alliance

I was quick and crazy enough to come out immediately and praise the people of Honduras for getting rid of that Hugo Chavez wannabe, Manuel Zelaya. Somehow I knew Barack Obama would be on the wrong side of the issue. Well, speaking out in condemnation wasn't enough. President Obama is playing hardball.

Obama has shut off U.S. military aid and now threatens to end even humanitarian aid. Still, the people of Honduras remain committed to keeping Chavez protege' Manuel Zelaya from dominating their country. These people, unlike us, seem to prepared to give up promises of pampering and security in exchange for freedom.

Since Honduras doesn't qualify for aid, why not end all U.S. aid around the world? My non-interventionist friends should appreciate that. This is especially timely since our government is broke.

Should Mr. Obama follow through on his efforts to put Zelaya back in place, perhaps through charity we can help the people of Honduras. I'm always more of an advocate for exercising personal charity by choice instead of force anyway.

Nigerian Minister: Efforts to Install Sharia is Not Religious but Political

Sharia law is increasingly taking hold in Nigeria. Soon there will be a blowup between the Muslims and Christians, but the real goal is control of the nation's oil and other natural resource.

This is why some of us use the term Islamofascists. For the most part, the Islamists are fascists. They use Islam as they would any other religion to gain and maintain power. If Islam permits them to brutalize and murder other people, then they will adapt that belief system to attain their goals. Muslims have to defend their faith or they are party of it.

Contrary to the Leftist thinking, not everyone worships Barack Obama and hates George W. Bush, even in Africa. While most Black people in America are too Dem brainwashed to give him credit (my point into why do it), George W. Bush did more to address AIDS and malaria in Africa than any other president. Africans know this. They celebrated Bush and gave us all a chance to laugh at Bush's "dancing."

Don't get me wrong, I still have a problem with that kind of use of our federal tax dollars. The non-interventionists and isolationists should agree with me on this point. If it's not right for the US federal government to go around the world playing policeman, we certainly shouldn't go around the world playing doctor or den mother either. That's what the nonprofit sector is for.

Interesting how, in the age of Obama, CNN ends up with Don Lemon and TJ Holmes in the anchor chair. Hmmm... Okay it might sound mean but I just don't think these guys are that good. It's actually a bit painful sometimes. There are other reporters out there who could do a much better job, but they just might not be as committed to CNN's ideology.

Then again, I suppose it's not much different than Fox News only hiring tall, blond women. Some bright but some so ditsy it hurts. Oh wait, there is one Hispanic female anchoring on the weekends. Wooo...progressive.
