Banks Pay Back TARP, Barney Frank Spends It (Gives It Away)

When federal tax dollars were first allocated to banks through the Troubled Asset Relief Program (TARP), politicians promised that the funds would be returned to the treasury. We were told that the government would even make a profit and even have money to put toward the massive deficit. Well, the day has come. Banks are paying back the money.

So what do our politicians in power do? Look at Rep. Barney Frank. Frank is chairman of the House Financial Services Committee which provides oversight of such matters. Does Mr. Frank decide to use those funds to cover the deficit or does he figure out new ways to spend the money? No better time than the present to come up with a new giveaway.

Congressman Frank wants to give the money away to people to pay their mortgages or even their rent. I doubt this has anything to do with wanting to actually help people. This is about POWER. Why would self-important politicians take steps to truly unleash prosperity when the people WANT to be controlled?

I like that the video captured Barney Frank's arrogance and contempt for anyone who would dare question his wise rule. We are insignificant pests.
