President Barack "Bart Simpson" Obama

I just thought that President Obama sounded a bit like Bart Simpson when it comes to the economy.

"I didn't do it, no one saw me do it, there's no way you can prove anything!" -- Bart Simpson

This was another one of those moments when I came up with something that I thought was pretty clever, but then found out that someone beat me to it. Bummer.

I'm radical enough to actually try to form and post my own ideas. So I sometimes check to see if anyone else has said it. Well I googled "Obama Bart Simpson" and found that John Hawkins expressed a similar idea.

Iran Issue: Russians have chosen

The Russians Have Chosen Their Side
The Russian government urges a 'constitutional' solution in Iran. Well that sounds nice, doesn't it? The Iranian constitution has jack to do with freedom. The mullahs ARE the constitution. They have absolute control.

Of course the Russian statement was done in cahoots with Ahmadinejad. Any doubts? The source to that link is the Iranian government-controlled press. Tyrants support tyrants.

Ahmandinejad and Big-brother-almighTY Khamanei could come out tomorrow and say:
"The constitution of the Iranian Republic is founded on the Holy Quran and thus sharia law. These unlawful assemblies are a violation and affront to Islam. They cannot stand.

America cannot so easily overthrow Iran as they have other Islamic nations. No. The Iranian people are a proud and pious people. The Iranian people would rather please Allah than the United States and her puppets.

So in keeping with the highest principles of our great nation and with respect to the Holy Quran and the prophet, the Iranian government must act. We act on behalf of the people and our constitution.

We will immediately arrest everyone who opposes the Constitution of this great, sovereign nation. Upon trial, all offenders will be subject to the harshest penalties proscribed."
Now that's just me blabbing on for a few seconds. No doubt Ahmadinejad and crew could come up with something much better. The Russians know this.

Now do you understand the stakes, Mr. Obama?

TWITTER-BASED CLARIFICATION: Some einstein on Twitter suggested that I am somehow advocating war with Russia. Certainly, I cannot always write for the most simpleminded among us, but I suppose I will clarify just this once. I am not advocating military action against anyone, not Iran and certainly not (this is how the mind of the Left boggles the sane mind) Russia. Sigh...this is how CHANGE worked to select a president. More than one word and some peoples minds shut down. ouch.

This is a time for rhetoric. High rhetoric that reaffirms some great principle. Remember, President Obama taught us that words are more than "just words."

Do you think the people are getting killed in the streets because they have nothing better to do? Are they doing it for a candidate? It's not even about an election!!! Some of these Iranian people are tired....tired of stonings, tired of the oppression, tired of a system of injustice. They are literally saying give me liberty or give me death.

Some Americans can identify with that deeper principle: freedom. Some can remember when they were told that they were free, but they still didn't count. Some can wax poetic about what it means to gain freedom. It's not simple. It's not clinical. It's not sterile. It might even evoke a little emotion. Talk like it.

The Left in America doesn't get it. They don't understand the stakes and that there are governments, people around the world with an ideology that is diametrically opposed to . The truth of the matter is that the far Left in American DOES NOT BELIEVE IN FREEDOM. They don't care about equal rights. They care about control. The Leftists don't have a problem with an all powerful government. This is why socialism and communism end in control and oppression. Freedom is too much for them. Leftists don't believe in silly notions like God-given rights to live, liberty and the pursuit of one's self-interest.
Atlanta's Public Housing Teaches the Nation a Lesson

Atlanta is continuing its march to the sea of freedom from housing projects. The city, home to the nation's first housing project, "is nearing a very different record: becoming the first major city to knock them all down."

I love this quote in the article from Sudhir Venkatesh, a sociologist and professor at Columbia University:
"We’ve decided that the market can function to create housing and the role of government should be to move people into the market.”
I'm gonna stroke out!!! The Market???!!!

In the age of Obama, this kind of news report is truly shocking.

You mean the government managing every aspect of housing, especially in light of the housing crisis, isn't a good idea?

You mean the government shouldn't use billions of dollars to build housing for the poor?

I think this article is only possible in the Times because Atlanta's mayor and head of housing are both black women.

NOTE TO THE TIMES AND THE OBAMA ADMINISTRATION: Let's apply that same thinking to public education and health care.

Oh wait, that would make too much sense and it would keep power out of the hands of politicians.

Thankfully at least for housing, we're starting to realize that massive government intervention isn't the answer. Someone realized that housing projects have been little more than monster factories. I've called housing projects monster factories for years, because all they do is produce monsters that prey on the larger society.
A Lesson in Leadership

No one takes more of a risk than Israel in speaking out on the Iran issue.
2 Men Carrying Fake $134 Billion in US Treasury Bills. Still No Answer.
Imagine that two men were captured carrying fake US treasury bill worth "the gross domestic product of New Zealand or enough for three Beijing Olympics." Yet, our government doesn't know who these men were working for.
Iranian People to President: "It's Time to Pick a Side"
From one of the people asking: "Where is my vote?" comes this blog post calling for President Obama to pick a side.
Iran
Andrew Sullivan and others from the Obama Defense Forces seem to totally miss the point. The Iranian government already blames the US for its citizen uprising. Obama must be the voice of freedom around the world. He can and should make statements about the ideals of freedom and the voice of the people...unless those are dirty concepts.

We already know how Obama, Sullivan and the Left felt about the tea party protesters here in the states.
