Football Player Kills Pedestrian and Gets 30 Days
After all of the furor over Michael Vick and dog fighting, I'm stunned at the silence over the crime and sentencing of Cleveland Brown's player Donte Stalworth. Stalworth was sentenced to only 30 days for DUI/vehicular homicide. That is OUTRAGEOUS.
Vick did years for dog fighting. This man has ended the life of another human being and only gets 30 days. Ray Lewis was an accomplice to a murder and never did any time either.
I'm sick of the way our justice system plays favorites with athletes. If I killed someone I'm sure I'd get more than 30 days.
Oh, I know why there's no furor. To most "animal rights activists" and too many people in our society, humans matter a lot less than human beings...unless the human beings are criminals or terrorists.
