Newt Sounds Like Me With This One
From his June 10 appearance on Hannity, Newt Gingrich made a point that I make quite often. In fact, Newt verbalizes one of my biggest problems with President Obama.
"But I can tell you, this is a president who uses rhetoric to hide from reality. I have learned very sadly not to pay attention to his words, because they are, in fact, not good indicators of what he is going to do..."

Another Misunderstanding of Faith - Slavery & Segregation


Atheists often like to point out that religion has been used as an excuse for things like slavery. I like to point out that it was faith that set my people free. Dr. King and all others involved in the Civil Rights Movement were people of great faith. Their belief in God and belief in the notion that our rights come from God, inspired them to face overwhelming odds and extreme hostility to peacefully fight for freedom.

That is the difference between faith and religion.

I saw this character in the awful kids movie "When Good Ghouls Go Bad" and couldn't resist thinking that he really does look like MJ. Hey it's possible that this is how Jackson will look soon, minus the green glowing eyes. Then again...
