Online dating hurting Australian sex industry

Australia's legal prostitution industry is reportedly experiencing a 6% decline in business due to the increasing number of online dating services which allow people to be more upfront about casual sex.

Kind of a side issue to your blog, but while I have a personal moral problem with prostitution, I truly believe that it should be legal as well in the United States. Who is the US government to make it illegal? If people want to engage that behavior and sexual choices, so be it. Besides making it safer, it certainly would be another vice to tax. It might be controversial, but in thinking much about it, I say legalize prostitution in the US.

Agreed. Our police spend far too much time cleaning this trash off the streets. I'm not saying prostitution is a good thing, but if it is regulated and restricted to specific areas we could clear up our legal system. Consenting adults can choose to do what they like.

Interesting that a woman can choose what to do with her body in other areas but not this one.
