Meredith Vieira Goes Overboard

Meredith Vieira went overboard flirting with a contestant on Who Wants to Be a Millionare. Vieira said some things that just might not be the most appropriate for family televisison, not to mention that she's married.

I'm no prude, and I don't get worked up over every silly thing someone might say or do. However, I can't help but think what the reaction would be if a male game show host said some of these things to a female contestant.

It goes to show how the so-called feminists are fine with some double standards.

Great commentary. I was mortified for Merideth Viera watching this video. It's one thing to be slightly flirtatious but quite another to treat someone as a sexual object. You are right. There is a double standard...If Regis would have done this, he may have lost his job and been sued for sexual harassment.

Wow. I could not have said it better myself (I actually thought that almost verbatim, anonymous). Have not been to your website in awhile, Mr. Durden, but I'm happy to see you are even more fiery than ever. While this almost comical, I cannot believe she said some of those things on a "family show". Then again, Hooters is a "family restaraunt".

Disgraceful! Her horny behavior has no place on family TV.

I can't believe the TV producer and the network didn't catch or retract before it aired.
