Democrats heckle Bush, but that's okay because he's a white guy

I'm a bit sick of the hypocrisy of the Democrats harping on Congressman Joe "YOU LIE!" Wilson. Certainly, Wilson was out of order, but come on. Just look at this video.

video

The Democrats never held back their hatred of George W. Bush. They heckled him during the STATE OF THE UNION ADDRESS!!!! You cannot find a more high-profile speech.

Unfortunately for Mr. Bush, he couldn't say that it was RAAAAAACISM.

BTW, when are we black people going to stop letting Democrats manipulate us and use us as pawns in their power games?

Sigh. Disapproving murmurs have long been part of many presidential addresses to congress. While Wilson's comment wasn't directly racist, his underlying hate and distrust of anything this president has to offer is probably based more on being the party of NO rather than a representative for his people. He's not going to like or believe anything this president, or any democratic president has to offer.

I do believe Wilson has gotten way to much press for this. We shouldn't reward assholes in this manner.

I was excited to see this video but sadly YOU LIED about what it was. Grumbling and complaining is a constant in these speeches. Yelling at the president that he is a liar is a little different.

I love how libs lie and move the goal post. If Bill Maher says Cheney should die, it's okay he's just a comedian. If a conservative said that the liberal god Obama or Biden should die, that's unbelievable hatred.

If Dems carry on during the State of the Union, then it's just polite murmuring. No big deal. Nancy Pelosi regularly said Bush lied but that's okay. Harry Reid did the same but that's okay too I suppose.

"No" sometimes is the proper response, especially when someone's driving you off a cliff.

Also, it would be more appropriate to say Democrat president, not democratic.

It's amusing to see the followers of Nancy "the CIA lied, Bush Lied" and Barack "Liar in Chief" Obama try to downplay the foolishness of their past actions. Demoncats were unbelievably rude to President Bush, but they go into an uproar if someone insults the neo-socialist messiah.

Obama is the one who lied and Joe Wilson should have called him out later instead of during the speech.

Much ado about nothing. I believe while we are all pilloring Wilson, involved with the "drama" the real story will be Obama secretly dropping the public option; and if the truth be told: Wilson provided the cover Obama needed to change the subject long enough for the dirty deed to be done.

You read my mind! Thank you for stating so eloquently what a lot of people are thinking.

Invade Iraq based on false intelligence, destroy it's society due to the worst planned reconstruction effort in anyone's memory, and claim everything's worked out great? Too bad the self proclaimed free thinkers here can't get their heads out of the soft womb of their echo chamber long enough to realize how completely and utterly different that is from a health care debate. Then again, this guy seems gullible enough to believe he's fighting Nazis in order to save his grandmother's life, so whatever gets him through the night.

That said, since the Health Care bill itself contains words that objectively speaking, expose Joe Wilson as a camera whore who's lips are smeared with feces, you can't even pretend he's justified unless you're willing to lie for him yourself.

Or be deliberately ignorant.

One's the same as the other.

Bush was ACTUALLY lying though....

Bush lied. Ha?
Apparently the ignorant still won't give up that nonsense. Of course the ignorant haven't ever read their beloved UN's Resolution 1441. The ignorant claim an illegal invasion when Saddam had repeatedly violated a cessation of hostilities agreement.

Joe Wilson lied? HA.
Suddenly Obama stops using the 46 million uninsured lie and the kool-aid drinkers don't notice. Talk about willful ignorance. Obama uses 30 million in an effort to magically make 16 million uninsured disappear. All the while he has every intention of insuring everyone who can sneak across the border.

Sigh. So sad.

Seriously...The heckling of this clip, while perhaps, inappropriate, is still not in any comparison to the actual scream of "You Lie". While again, perhaps, this issue should be dropped by now, the Democrats are doing exactly what any political party would do in their position, seize on it! Same reason why the GOP kept Nancy Pelosi in the news when she accused the CIA of lying. Is this right? Maybe not. But, it is politics. Further, while, it's unfornuate, all politicians fib, lie, stretch the truth, or distort facts just a bit. Again, not right, but however you want to "spin" it, it's politics. It will always be taught that it is wrong to lie, except for maybe the "Washington DC lie". The point is, this is the United States. You show respect, you show decorum, you act responsible. You do not get up and shout you lie, even if Wilson detested every word that Obama said. And, defending Wilson is also a lack of respect, not for just President Obama, but for the position as President of the United States. It crossed the line and Wilson knew that too or he would have never apoligized so quickly.

And when Rep. Pete Stark (D-Cal)accused Dubyah on the House floor of actually enjoying the deaths of American servicemen in Iraq, the same Democratic majority which reprimanded Joe Wilson blocked an attempt to reprimand Stark.

Wilson's apology admitted that his behavior was wrong. Stark's merely stated his regret that his remark had derived so much attention from other matters. He has yet to apologize to Mr. Bush for a far graver insult than calling him a "liar."

Yes, it's true that "you lie" is a bit different from murmurs, boos and other forms of disgruntled sentiments. But then again, Bush wasn't flat-out lying about the eventual collapse of Social Security and Medicare, was he? No he was not. But Obama was, in fact, lying about the coverage of illegal aliens in the Pelosi-Care package. The Dumbocrats' and Lame-Stream Media's hyperbole over Wilson's comment and their demand for "Decorum" is entirely ridiculous. Not once has O'Scammer said a kind word about his predecessor. Even on inauguration day, Obama could have at least lauded Mr. Bush for his fine work in sending aid to Africa. After all, we were celebrating the resounding changes in racial attitudes in our country on this day, weren't we? Obama would have shown a lot of class and won the hearts of his opponents had he politely admonished the crowds who chanted "Na-na-na-na-Good-Bye" at Bush, who was in attendance. But the man has no class. He has no reference for decorum because he's spent his entire life associating with radicals who despise our culture, mores and traditions. Expecting "Decorum" implies that you practice it yourself. It was disgusting of Obama not to use the moment of his inauguration to show any appreciation to our country's founders and all of his predecessors (even Mr. Bush). That day was a sham and each day since has been more of the same. A steady degradation of decorum. Obama flouts all conventional wisdom when it comes to decorum and grace ALL THE TIME. He still derides Mr. Bush with reckless abandon. Obama also repeatedely refers to himself as "historic" and states that no other ex-Presidents had ever been faced with the difficult challenges foisted on him (by Mr. Bush, of course). Obama is a mailignant narcissist. I did not vote for him but held out some hope for a diamond in the rough. Now, THAT was a useless exercise! But I now have Democrat friends and family who tell me that over the Thanksgiving turkey they debated weakly and without conviction in defense of Obama and some told me they are now leaving the Democratic party. Apparently, Social Marxists failed to realize that eventually, their foolishness would disturb and anger sensible Democrats. I can't wait for Obama to resign so we can get back to fixing this economic mess with sound Capitalist principles.
