I honestly wanted to hear what President Obama had to say on health care reform, so I spent a little time listening to his speech before the American Medical Association. Like most other Americans, I genuinely want to see a system where all legal residents are able to get the medical treatment they need. So, I was open to hear what Mr. Obama had to say.
Just when I want to hear him out, President Obama goes and proves himself to be just what I thought he was, unworthy and ill-suited for the high office he holds. Somehow, this man managed to work in the Iraq war into a discussion of health care reform. What would he do if he couldn't call up George W. Bush or Iraq on a daily basis? Obama couldn't make it through one speech on such a crucial issue without being petty, smug and partisan.
Listening to Mr. Obama speak, health reform is super simple and the money to pay for it is just lying around on the floor. Apparently, radically altering our massive health care system is easier than ending any of the countless forms of government waste that exist. He gives the impression all of his predecessors have been simply too stupid and cowardly to get anything done with healthcare. What a guy!
Each day, whether it's national security or health care reform, through his partisanship and propensity to say one thing and do another, Barack Obama continues to give the appearance that the crucial decisions required by his high office are above his paygrade or perhaps above his intellect and character.
Feel free to forward this to him.
