Study Shows That Conservatives Aren't the Closed-minded Ones
While people with conservative viewpoints are often portrayed as being closed-minded, an Ohio State study shows that "people with stronger party affiliation, conservative political views, and greater interest in politics proved more likely to click on articles with opposing views."

I know I often go out of my way, not that I have to go far, to read viewpoints from the political/ideological left. Since I'm portrayed as being somehow an oddity for being conservative, I want to find the best arguments for another viewpoint. I rarely, if ever, find an argument on the ideological Left that's convincing.

Interesting article. I am LIBERAL and on your site. I do not attack the "RIGHT" or the "CONSERVATIVES". I simply disagree. Interesting on how this particular survey must be right. I wonder if it came to the opposite conclusion, if it would have been posted or if if suddenly the data would have been wrong since all educational institutions are liberal and corrupt.

Overly simplistic and typical. It seems that liberals must have it all one way or not at all. I thought that's what conservatives were accused of doing. Who would advocate rejecting all research? A liberal.

If you would read the entire post you'd see that people who are very engaged in politics are included along with conservatives. The note there is that even conservatives who aren't extremely involved in politics are more informed than most on the left who just react and "feel" without any facts.
