Cap and Trade Truth?
I know it's hard sometimes to understand whether President Obama actually means what he says. He changes his mind and directions more than an faulty GPS. I've tried to take him to mean what he says the first time, before the spin masters reinterpret it. This is one moment he's being extremely candid and telling the truth about what will be result of one of his policies.
"When the architects of our republic wrote the magnificent words of the Constitution and the Declaration of Independence, they were signing a promissory note to which every Americanwas to fall heir. This note was a promise that all men, yes, black men as well as white men, would be guaranteed the unalienable rights of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness."
Far too many people are so focused on what they want and require in a relationship that they never think about what they bring to the table or how they can make someone else happy. Love is giving, not just receiving.
Life Thought
Life is to be enjoyed, but it's not a game. There are times to play but so many more times to deal with issues and help others. Self-absorption and frivolity waste our most precious gift -- life.
