Now I know why the left was so terrified of this Sarah Palin. She's plain-spoken, straightforward and simply...American.

Her simple, yet intelligent way of speaking is so refreshing at a time when lofty, say-nothing rhetoric seems to have so many people swooning. There's something about real talk, grounded in real life, that the nuanced, pseudo-intellectuals can't handle. Note that I said pseudo-intellectual. I admire intelligence and education more than anyone. However, I detest the "I'm better-than-you and I-know-what's-best-for-you pitiful idiots" paternalism and maternalism of so many liberals.

Meanwhile, PMSNBC's lead anchor Keith Loserman looked like he had just seen a terrible accident. His emperor has been exposed. Chris Matthews must was either in the bathroom puking or calling the Obama campaign to plot next steps.

Prepare for things to get even uglier when it comes to attacking Sarah Palin. I think she can handle it.

The unspoken line in her speech was clearly: "Frankly my dear liberals, I don't give a damn."
